Most everyone dreams about working from home, today. The thought of getting up and going to work in your pajamas rather than dealing with traffic, long commutes, co-workers and bosses, sounds pretty good, right? Well, the truth is that more and more companies are offering more telecommute positions to their employees.
But there are certain Myths that are perceived by both sides, employer and employee that in reality are not really piratical
TEAMWORK
“It is impossible to have team spirit on a remote team.”
Reality: Team spirit is always on stake. and time gap and coordination makes the impact of team spirit less
“You must get lonely working from home.”
Reality: This is not the thing, you are always in contact with peers , managers , clients even after job time. you are never alone .
“You cannot build relationships with remote co-workers.”
Reality: but in reality we try to make relation more stronger and smoother to make the workflow easier
PRODUCTIVITY
“Remote work is distracting.”
Reality: There are fewer distractions working from home than there are in an office. Researchers found that productivity increased by one-third when workers were allowed to work remotely.
COMMITMENT
“Remote workers are not committed.”
Reality: i guess they are more committed as they will be paid what they have produced.
I will always be an advocate for remote work. And I am happy to have a conversation about it — to share how this style of working has contributed to our team’s rapid success.
