Mother Teresa’s biography
Mother Teresa was the famous humanitarian, her tasks were remarkable. She started work as just one woman, with no money and supplies, tries her best to help the millions of poor, starving and dying that lived on that the streets of India. Mother Teresa’s selfless effort to help those who need in to cause many to regards her as a model humanitarian.
Mother Teresa was born on 26th of August, 1910 and passed away from this world on 5th September, 1997; she was born in Calcutta, India. Mother Teresa was also known as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiou (birth name), “the saint of the Gutterâ€. Mother Teresa also founded the missionaries of charity, a catholic order of nuns dedicated to help the poor. The missionaries of the charity grew to help the poor, the dying, orphan, leper and AIDS suffered child in up to 100 countries. Despite others misgivings and distrust, mother Teresa was confident that God would provide.
Agnes gonxha Bojaxhiu was known as mother Teresa was the third and final child born to her ALBANIAN catholic parents, Nikola and Dranafile Bojaxhiu, in the city of Skopje that was Muslim city in the Balkans.
Nikola was the successful businessman and Daranfile was stayed at home to take care of child. When mother teresa was 10 years old her father died unexpectedly. The bojaxhui family was very devastated. After a period of intense and grief, Dranafile started sold textiles and handmade embroidery to bring in some income. Bojaxhiu has the tightly religious belief. When Teresa was 2 years old started feeling called to serve God as nun. For five years she helped her mother to organize the church events and started sang there. She made the difficult decision to become a nun. Having read many articles about the work catholic missionaries were doing in India that was based in Ireland but with mission in India.
In September, mother Teresa goodbye to her family to travel to Ireland and then on to India. She saw her mother and sister again.
As a new Loreto nun she started teaching history and geography to a convent in Kolkata. Usually Loreto was never allowed to leave convent but she leave after 5 years by given a special exemption.
Mother Teresa finally officially became Mother Teresa on May 24, 1927. Mother Teresa continued as St. Mary’s principal. She had been travelling on a train to Darjeeling when she received and “inspiration†a message that told her to leave convent and help the poor by living among them.
She went alone to the slums in Kolkata to help poor. Teresa was awarded numerous honors including NOBEL PRIZE IN 1979; she never took personal credit for her accomplishments. She said it was God’s work and she was just the tool used to facilitate it.
