Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and tennis star Sania Mirza decided to surname their first child as ‘Mirza Malik’. There is no doubt ‘Sania Mirza’ is always been very private about personal life and never reveals the future plan. But this time Indian tennis star stated:
‘She wants a daughter whenever she decides to start a family’.
Sania Mirza reveals her future plans at the Gender Bias at the ‘Goa Fest 2018′. The tennis star speaks about her personal life, experience about gender bias and husband. She said in a statement:
‘Today, I will tell you a secret of my life. My husband and I have spoken about it and what should be future for our family. We have decided that we surname our child as ‘Mirza Malik’ and not just Malik. My husband actually wants a daughter and this is where we stand as a family‘.
Sania Mirza reveals her future planning and also spoken about gender bias. She reveals her own personal experience with her relatives. Sania added that some of our relatives tell my parents that they need a son so that family name continues. The 31-year-old replied to this statement as:
We are actually two sisters and never dream that we have a brother. I had already fight with my relatives who spoke my parents about son. For us, daughters are daughters and there is nothing like wanting a son to carry family’s name.
She added that ‘I have never changed my name (post marriage) and still known by ‘Sania Mirza’. It will remain the same and family name is going to go forward.
Sania added that ‘I would love to do a little bit less. What I would like is to resolve our problems and communicate, if there is any‘.
