The monsoon is the welcome season after the sweltering summer where people enjoy the beauty of rain, cold breeze, windy and powerful lightning and thunder. Monsoon brought the wonderful memories of children playing in drizzle and making water boats.

The arrival of monsoon is comfy for everyone but brought some waterborne diseases like diapers and stomach infections and we should need to follow precautions during the rainy season to stay healthy.

  • Follow a healthy diet:

In this season, you should need to avoid the items available in the streets and need to follow the strict healthy diet plan. You should even need to avoid the raw vegetables and salads unless they are a wash and clean at home.

You should need to drink only boil water during the monsoon season or if you are on a budget you should buy the packed water as drinking pure water reduces the chances of contracting a waterborne disease.

  • Prepare rain gear:

The monsoon is forthcoming and you should need to get ready your accessories to remain safe during the season, the simple idea is to take out your raincoat and waterproof shoes if you are going to walk regularly but better is to avoid walking in water as viral disease occurred to feet and nails.

You should always carry an umbrella to remain safe from getting wet and if you get wet in the rain then you do not needs to stay in wet socks or shoes dry them immediately.

  • Take a shower:

You should need to take the warm water shower every time when you get drenched in rain water as it helps you to maintain the body temperature after getting dressed and drying off.

  • Teach children about safety:

You should need to teach the children that whenever they hear the sound of thundering and lightning they should stay indoors and need to avoid the opening fields like playing grounds, the tall objects like trees and light posts and avoid metal objects and wait for at least 30 minutes after lightning.

  • Avoid touching your eyes:

The common precaution towards the monsoon weather is to avoid touching your eyes as eye infections like a stye, dry eyes are common and can lead to blindness if you ignored and if you occur the irritation or itching then you should need to consult the doctor immediately.

  • Keep hands clean:

The only source towards all of the waterborne disease is your hands and you should need to avoid touching your body with dirty hands and make sure to clean them regularly using sanitizer especially after contacting with rain water.
