It is impossible to forget the final of Champions Trophy 2017 and hard work of the Pakistani players. It is due to their hard work that brought a trophy to home. The eighth ranked team won the final. But still, Pakistan is not considered safe for international cricket.
The cricket players won the heart of every Pakistani and awards have been distributed to these people as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif embraced the team.
The top batting of FakharZaman and made more than 100 runs in final match is never forgettable moment. Also, Mohammad Amir cricket spells and takes top 3 wickets was a worthful moment for the Pakistani nation.
But despite this performance, Pakistan is still not safe for international cricket?
- Pakistani cricket players proved themselves with their brilliant performance as they earned two ICC trophies. Moreover, they are on number one Test ranking. But still waiting for international cricket!
- There is long debate occurs between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and ICC for World XI to visit the region next year and proper security arrangement should need to implement in the region.
- There is a possibility that this will return the international cricket to Pakistani stadiums. Also, this makes possible for Pakistan to earn back his reputation and name in the world of cricket.
England is home to international cricket with terror attacks but Pakistan isn’t?
- Pakistan is popular in the world for a terror attack and it is difficult to forget the attack on Sri Lanka cricket’s team on March 3, 2009. This is the reason Pakistan is not considered safe for international cricket.
But the question is that why England is considered safe for the cricket after the recent attack in Manchester and London?
- The Manchester Bombing attack occurred in the region when Champions Trophy warm-up stage is prepared. The teams had arrived in England for practice but still, it is the safe nation?
- The London Bridge attack also occurred in the country before the early stages of a tournament. These both events killed many people and numerous injured in the accident.
But why Pakistan is still facing these double standards in the world?
- These events remind us that terror can strike any city and country even if the country is developed or underdeveloped.
- These terrorists have no religion and culture. This is the reason there should never arbitrary standards for where cricket is permissible and where it is not.
Let’s hope well for the international cricket in Pakistan.
