Pakistan Start assembling Chinese Cars For First Time

The FAW Motors had announced the launching of a passenger car that was assembled locally in Pakistan. The FAW is the fastest growing company in the China with the collaboration of Al-Haj in 2017.

The collaboration will start assembling the car parts locally in Karachi, Pakistan. The company has made the beautiful designated area in which Pakistan start assembling Chinese Cars that can compete with the Japanese car makers.

Bilal Afridi, Company’s Managing Director:

Bilal Afridi hosted an event that was attended by all the vendors and dealers. He added that this is the very first time that Pakistan starts assembling the Chinese car locally. We want to become the export base of FAW to Southeast Asia and African markets.

  • The company has a target to assemble 300 units of FAW V2 per month and later they will enhance the growth of the cars. They will produce up to 500 units of a car by the end of 2017.
  • The company added that they have over 600 workers at this moment but later they will grow the employees. The company annual capacity is 10,000 units but later it will increase to 15,000 by the end of 2020.
  • The company had already made the starting investment of 2.5 billion for the project and this time they had made 1.3 billion to improve the assembly system of the car.
  • The company that was built in Pakistan should need to work hard as they have to compete with the well-organized cars of the Japanese. The current price of FAW is 1.069 million and they had raised the price of Rs. 20,000 only to make the product attractive for buyers.

The company officials added that ‘We want to produce the FAW V2 locally for a long time that was the light commercial vehicle but investment delayed as Government is announcing a new car policy.

The auto car parts of the region added that ‘This is the first time Pakistan start assembling Chinese Cars and the Company is working hard and people are willing to work in nice manner as they have to compete with the Japanese cars’
