NBP Made Docudrama To Stop Illegal Money Transfer

Pakistani banks are always working hard to attract customers and facilitate them with different packages to use their services. This time National Bank of Pakistan recently launched a campaign to stop illegal money transfer in nation.

National Bank of Pakistan is the largest public sector of the country and launched a docudrama to create awareness. They have launched the campaign known as Hundi ko lagao kundi to form alertness against illegal money transfer.

Event details:

  • The campaign is formally launched to the Karachi on Wednesday and informs benefit of money transfer. This campaign describes the negative impacts of sending money through illegal channels and benefits of sending through legal channel.
  • NBP believes that this docudrama will aware the people and stop the illegal money transfer. This is an important mode to educate masses about advantages of sending remittances home frsom legal source i.e. NBP Foree Remittances.
  • This is the large event and attended by top officials including Jameel Ahmed, Deputy Governor SBP. He is the guest of honor and event is presided by Saeed Ahmad, CEO of National Bank of Pakistan.
  • The event basically targeted towards the migrants of a nation, especially those residing in Saudi Arabia, UAE and GCC countries.
  • The event is attended by some of best officials including Syed Samar Hasnain, Executive Director Development Finance Group. Mr. Abid Qamar, Chief Spokesperson, Mr. Moinuddin, Head Pakistan Remittance Initiative and many others.

Jameel Ahmed, Deputy Governor SBP:

  • SBP Jameel Ahmed added that workers remittances are the lifeline for our external account balance. We need to improve the momentum of payment and positive growth trajectory n coming months.
  • He remains motivated towards the goal of the banks and added that banks should need to provide a suitable environment. Banks should need to improve their service of remittances and should need to introduce the innovative products.
  • This will help to attract the customer with your bank and providing better infrastructure to the customer is also important. We should need to improve the capacity of building human resources to improve the efficiency of work.
  • He said that we would encourage banks to promote marketing including print, electronic and social media to aware the people.

Saeed Ahmad, CEO of National Bank of Pakistan:

  • He added that we are facing the tough time due to the remittances. The hundi/hawala is the biggest challenge facing overall remittances business of Pakistan.
  • The fact in this information is used by the overseas Pakistan due to lack of information.If all the remittances come through the channel of banks then it will better the financial state.
  • This will result in better financial stability and improve the standing of Pakistan in the international market. The purpose of the event is much wider than the business of the national bank of Pakistan.
