Meet Zahra Lari, an inspiration for all Muslim women. She belongs to United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi and wants to achieve her dream in 2018 Winter Olympics.
Zahra is all set to make history for her country and determined with her mission. She wears hijab while performing skating and the first representative of her country. Many women must inspire from a story of Muslim hijabi figure skater ‘Zahra Lari’.
Ice princess in Hijab:
Zahra belongs to one of world’s hottest climate but mission to achieve cold. U.A.E has taken part in summer Olympics but never represent a country in a winter season. But Lari has represented the nation in international competitions in places such as Hungary and Italy.
U.A.E has never participated in the winter games but Zahra has a mission to represent a country in 2018. This shows that Muslim women can do anything with faith.
Zahra and her dream:
The Muslim lady started workout for skating when she was just 12. She worked hard to achieve her dream and now 21 and represent herself in different international events. Lari told about her startup routine towards skating.
She said ‘At a first step, I fell down. Skating is much tough as I thought. I fell again and again but I never give up my dream. I tried a lot and never back up. Fall after fall, and I kept getting back up’.
This shows that Zahra performs amazing work. She added that I start with skating just as a hobby but later feel this passion. Zahra has face a tough time to become representative of a country. She is known as ‘Ice Princess of a country’.
Zahra works five to seven hours daily to perfectly balance herself in ice. She has set big dreams and goals to achieve in this life. Lari added that ‘I spent hours in practice on the ice and later hours without ice’. This is amazing, if I reach these goals, then I will be jumping for joy.
What her parents thought about Zahra?
She added that at first, my parent worried about my routine. They worry about my studies and what if I got injured. But when they saw my passion towards skating, they start supporting me 100 percent. At some sort of time, my DAD wants me to stop this.
But later start supporting me; he always supports me with love and kindness. At national event, he first refuses me to represent myself but takes me to watch my fellow teammates. He saw how happy I was for them but sad for myself.
That day, he starts supporting me and identifies my passion. Now he cheers for me, just as others cheer for me. Lari hopes that other women will take her story as inspiration and achieve their dreams.

Lari is really an inspirational story for Muslim women and especially from her own country. She achieves her dream wearing hijab and aware other women too. This is not what; Nike has also launch hijab for young skater Zahra.
