Majestic structures from the British Era in Lahore. Lahore is a city that has been around for more than 2000 years. It is a city with a history full of tales of adventure and chivalry. Within this amazing city, there are some of the most beautiful buildings from the time when Asia was under British rule.

Take a look at some of the buildings from a bygone era:

1. General Post Office of Lahore on Mall Road – seems more like a stunning museum than a post office. It was built on the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria

2. Lahore Museum – a majestic building that holds the history of Pakistan.

3. Aitchison College is one of the most prestigious schools in Lahore, and also one with a monumental building to view

4. Mayo School of Arts, now the National College of Arts, where creativity comes to life

5. Ganga Ram Hospital, now the Fatima Jinnah Medical College was built in 1921 by the Philanthropist Sir Ganga Ram Agrawal

6.  Government College University – with a look at the English Parliament House London

7. Mayo Hospital was built in 1871. It is the largest and oldest hospital in Pakistan

8. Sir Ganga Ram High School now Lahore College for Women – splendor from yesteryears

9. The University of the Punjab – Old campus. It is a gorgeous building from a bygone era

10. High Court of Lahore, incorporated with Mughal touch. It was built in 1877.

11. St. Anthony’s College is attached to St. Anthony’s Church. it is where our PM Nawaz Sharif had his early education.

12. Montgomery Hall was converted into Quaid-e-Azam Library

13. Tollinton Market from the former British years in Pakistan.

14. Punjab Assembly Hall – standing tall and proud.

15. Lahore Railway Station – It was built in the grand style of the British in 1866.
