What is the accident happened in the Karachi?
- Karachi’s top institute so-called ‘Institute of Business and Management’ is known for its standard and quality in the region. The institute security guard stopped the visiting faculty member to enter the premises of institute.
- She was stopped at the gate for her dress because guard thinks it is not appropriate. A female staff member got a lecture by a security-in-charge over her improper outfit.
- She is the visiting teacher and shared her experience on social media. The post of lady went viral on the internet and everybody is supporting her.
- She made the post with the complete story of an incident and posted a picture and asks question from people. She added that:
‘Today I was stopped at the Institute of business and management gate by the weird man. He claims that he is the head of a security department and tells me about a dress. The guard just tells me about the dress code, I need to follow’.
Female make a question with other women on the social media about the statement. She posted the question, Ladies please help me understand, how I am a security threat?
This post gets viral on the internet and demand of other ladies. The women start sharing their experience with the security guards and many make a reaction on teacher’s post. They tell how security guards humiliated girls at the college.
This is not the first time:
- Last year, female students made a group on social media to support a moral policy of security guards. They made the group against the management of the college.
- Lately, the IoBM investigates the group and made disciplinary committee against admins of the group. They asked parents to ensure the dressing style of their daughters and it must match with Islam.
- One of the students shared the condition of management with the parents as well. She added they told our parents if we keep wearing an improper outfit than Taliban attacked our college.
The female journalist retweets the teacher’s post and shared her own experience. Moreover, she added former president of institute once asked me if she was a Muslim because of her dress. I immediately replied yes I am Muslim then he said, this is not dressed of Muslims. This is the month of Ramadan, have respect for the Holy month.
- The university’s public relations officer Pervez Jamil made no comment on a matter of the teacher. He added that I am not the person who stopped the women; the security guard will tell you!
- The security chief of the institute SartajHussain also not commented on the matter. He added that come in front of me, only then I will make a statement.
