Many of us in Pakistan love to wear western culture and looks like them.But do you know how western brands took inspiration from Pakistani fashion?

There is no doubt Pakistani dresses are a way for many people and celebrities in the world. They love to dress just like Pakistani’s and this is a reason many designers select our country’s culture. Here is the list given below that fashion designers around the globe took dress idea from our beloved country.

  1. Versace (Shalwar Kameez):

The most common dress for men in Pakistan is wearing Shalwar Kameez. There is no hesitation that men look smart and beautiful with a dress. This is the reason Italian designer gets inspire from men wearer and unveiled her collection. Donatella Versace launches men collection in Milan with a concept of Shalwar Kameez and made the collection more appealing.

  1. Paul Smith (Peshawari Chappal):

A Kheri is traditional shoe wear by every Pakistani with Shalwar Kameez. Many of us like to wear Kheri even with a pent shirt as it looks amazing. This is reason British designer Paul Smith designed a sandal just with the concept of Peshawari Chappal. The sandal just looks like Kheri and designer called this product as own innovation creation.

A long debate run on social media against designer as Kheri is a tradition of Pakistan. But there is nothing wrong drawing inspiration from other cultures. However, after online petition designer website change product description state ‘inspired by Peshawari Chappal’. This is reason we say ‘western brands took inspiration from Pakistani fashion’.

  1. Sadak (Burqa):

The hunger games costume designer, Sasa Kovacevic is a founder of label Sadak. Everyone receives attention towards this costume that inspires by Islamic concept of hijab. It is common in Pakistan for women to cover themselves with a veil (niqaab) and cover their faces. But designer failed to realize that this concept is for women and not men.

  1. Stella McCartney (Gharara):

Every woman in Pakistan loves to wear Gharara, especially on weddings. A British designer Stella McCartney came out with this concept. She made trousers, wide opened from the bottom and make a perfect Pakistani look. Do you believe that this price is £1,100 and item are sold also?

  1. Forever 21 (Sindhi Culture):

Whoever in the universe doesn’t know about Sindhi culture? Pakistani Sindhi culture and dresses are already popular in the world and Forever 21 also took inspiration from them. The brand showcase number of clothes in the ajrak prints. Ajrak is a name of a specific type of cloth which have patterns.

There is also another brand ‘Topshop’ took Sindhi inspiration too. This brand surprise people with producing crop-tops with traditional mirror work.

  1. Figue (Kholapuri Chappal):

One of the most favorite shoes of women is Kholapuri Chappal in Pakistan. The designer of this chappal introduces toe ring i.e. pink pomp on its top. Some said origination of this style comes from India but it becomes Pakistani women attire.

We all know that modern trend is wearing kameez over pent and becoming popular. A designer took this inspiration and it is one of most popular dress in western choice.
