Blast near ArfaKarim Tower in Lahore – 11 killed & several injured

Eleven people had killed including police officers and several people are injured in blast near ArfaKarim in Lahore on Monday.

The nine bodies have been shifted to the hospital after the attack according to the police officers and this road was one of the busiest roads in Lahore.

The police department added that this was the suicide bomber that wants to target the police officers that were available at the spot to handle the operation of anti-encroachment.

The scene was the horrible one as it occurred at busy road:

• The police spokesperson added that three police officers had died on the spot and several people are injured and the rescue operations are under process.
• The rescue departments have to send the injured people to General and Jinnah hospital and the police officers were also injured in the blast.
• The emergency in hospitals was also enforced and many injured people are still in the critical condition and the recent reports told that ten motorcycles were destroyed during blast near ArfaKarim tower in Lahore.
• The law enforcement department was reached on the spot and cordoned the area and Pak Army was also reached on the spot. The department added that blast occurred when an old building in the area was being demolished.
• The actual cause and nature of the blast were not revealed yet but forensics department people had been reached at the affected area.

The affected area was the most secure one and blast near ArfaKarim Tower in Lahore was 100 meters from the house of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s office in Model Town.
