Blue Whale Challenge, an online dares game that has been linked to hundreds of teen deaths across the world. The crime departments are working hard to find the victim of this game and stop the further suicide cases.
This game is already a part of media last month when it becomes viral in Pakistan. The game had already taken the lives of hundreds of teenagers in the whole world. This time game getting popular among the Asian states and risking lives of kids.
Recently, FIA Cyber Crime Department said they had tracked down 14 years old teenager from Lahore. This boy is engaged in the notorious suicide game.
How had FIA found the boy?
The Interpol Washington informed the Interpol National Central Bureau for Pakistan about this game. They had detected the activity of Blue Whale game challenge in the region. FIA Cyber department already made a team for a crackdown the victim of Blue Whale. They also track the people that are handling the Blue Whale game in Pakistan.
FIA found the content related to kidnapping clip in Snapchat on the cell phone. It was not clear whether teenager playing the game or involved in it some other way. The team visited two locations in Gulshan-e-Ravi and Johar Town but a teenager is not found.
Then they obtain the GPS coordinates of the mobile phone and track him down at another location of Johar town. It was found that teenager is playing a game on the cellphone of his mother. FIA confiscated the mobile phone and bid mother and son on October 18.
Why is Blue Whale Challenge getting popular?
The Blue Whale game gets popular in the region after the media reports of Russia. It claims that more than 130 teenagers take suicide by closed social media groups.
The victims are manipulated by the group admin or game curators into series of tasks. At first, the participants are given seemingly harmless tasks like watching horror movies. They don’t allow talking with anyone whole day or going out at 3 a.m.
At last, when participants performed all the tasks, game owner want them to take their life. The player needs to send video as proof they have completed the task.
Is any teenager harm from this game in Pakistan?
Recently, the news comes from Jhelum, Pakistan about two college girls. The girls belonging from Government Degree College Pind Dadan Khan had injured on their arms. It is clear that this injury made from the sharp-edged tool.
These two girls studied in the first and second year – while one of them reaches at 18 level of a game. The other girl reaches at 22 level of the Blue Whale Challenge game.
Media reports also tell us that many people belonging from Peshawar remain involved in the game. Many of them are under observation as they are suffering from depression while completing the challenge of Blue Whale game.
The fact is that when players unable to perform the task the admin warn people their families would be harmed!
