Each year, we saw London Fashion week and models are parading on a runway. We see low neckline and short hemlines but this time festival wants to empower Muslim women.
Modest fashion is really having a moment in the whole world. This modest fashion week shows the beauty of scarves. This time more than 40 designers from the world took part in the two-day event. They have showcased the scarves, hijabs and loose fitting maxi dresses at the event.
This event was founded by two Muslim women, Doctor Faheem Mir, and human rights barrister Sultana Tafadar. They want to ensure the presence of modest fashion in the fashion industry.
The event took place at the London’s Grosvenor House Hotel to show the leading designers. This event showcases the leading designers and similar events are due to happen in other regions. Dubai, Doha, and Qatar will display these events over the coming months.
The event holder’s added that those who want to cover their body are not adequately catered for. This event will help them to change the perceptions and permanent presence of modest fashion. These are the most demanded events in the world to change the minds of people in the world.
This event will also help the designer to promote the complete dresses and release the stress. The modest dresses are not just women for a particular culture and religious identities but should celebrate. This will support them and make their own choices.
The objective of the event is to break archetypes and pre-conceived notions of a modest dresser. It will provide the platform to the modest designers and lifestyle and inspire others to combine substance with style. The event is complete with the headscarves and robes.
Ms. Sultana added that this event will help the Muslim women residing in the West. They are able to afford the luxury items with style as many Muslims are educated and participated in high professions.
The fact is that it is hard for Muslim women to find out the perfect clothes for them. It is hard for them while finding the appropriate dresses but this event will help them. We get really excited when we think we find something beautiful.
Several retail stores already tried to make available clothes according to modest fashion week during Ramadan. But of course, we don’t only search for clothes in a month of Ramadan – it is a basic entity.
Dozens of models took part in the event to support the modest fashion week. They have shown the real beauty of the clothes and promote the concept of a modest dresser.
The members of Muslim community and people on the social media praised the show. One posted on twitter that it is really a great event and shows Muslim women’s are also fashionable and modest.
There is also a 20-year model Somalian-American Hamila Aden. The first-ever contestant to wear hijab took to the catwalk, made up by Charlotte Tilbury. Many other people also praise the event on social media and posted it as revolutionary.
