The progress of Pakistan is getting popular in different sectors but what if we talk about the sanitary system of Pakistan?
The perfect parameter to judge the culture and values of the region is to consider the methods and people performing the most humble and menial tasks. The menial tasks including the working on closure gutters, cleaning the roads and cleaning the sewerage lines – and Pakistan culture shows that sanitation system never grows as compared to early life.
Have you ever thought about these people living in Pakistan? If they are working on a mission, have acceptable methods for cleaning the lines? Are these jobs open to all people or some specific people are doing?
Have these people got training to perform their activities?
- These are the general question that must rose in the mind of kind people when living in the region. The fact is that we are living in the society that we get attention towards the social media but when it comes to these people, we ignore the posts.
- We are not taking care of these people and never look about their cleaning methods and unclogging the gutters and why these people are risking their lives for us?
Does sanitation system never grow? Do these people follow the safety parameters?
- There contains plenty of hazards for the job of sweepers but no one gives compensation to them. They are working in the gutters wearing slippers instead of safety shoes.
- Our government doesn’t provide them safety mask when they are working in the sewerage lines to block the bacteria and dust from inhalation.
- They don’t even use the hand gloves or caps to avoid contact with garbage and this is the reason many sweepers get attracted with the skin and respiratory problems.
A quick analysis shows that we are living in the dark society that doesn’t have much time for these people, but why? Are they are non-Muslims? Are they want to clean the gutters?
- The government is increasing their quote in menial activities instead of a doctor, engineer and for the post of sanitary.
- The thousands of government employees get their salaries near 50,000 and more then why sanitary department salaries cant raised?
The government should need to consider the rights of minorities existing in Pakistan, This will also help to grow the economy and decrease the poverty from the country and change the tradition of sanitation system never grows
