Pakistan Moves Up In Ease Of Doing Business Rankings
Pakistan has made some important progress towards doing business for small and large enterprises as the World Bank announce Pakistan to be among top 10 economies.
This doesn’t mean Pakistan was lying at top 10 economies but the regions that are working for a business and improve their image in the world as Pakistan improved his image in the world ranking at 144th instead of 148th out of 190 countries.
Pakistan was the only country lie in the Asian region that improves its business progress and the country already announce the methodology and three-year road map to improve its global ranking based on business earlier this year.
Pakistan showed his infrastructure and streamline procedures this year to stand in leading business countries as ‘Doing business reports’ are a flagship World Bank publication. The annual ranking of different business countries is not based on surveys but the policies introduced by a government without considering real effects.
Country among top 10 reformers in World Bank’s Doing Business 2017 report:
Pakistan was working deeply towards the growth of the region as procedure towards transferring property was made easier through land records and land administration more reliable than before. Cross-border trade was also made comfortable with the advancement of electronic custom platforms and now takes less time and improved access to credit information and become the second country in South Asia region of getting credit.
Improving Economy:
The Pakistan’s recent improvements are encouraging and provide business building blocks for more efficient business and need better regulatory practice for higher growth and job creation.Yet Pakistan lies in the top ranking of developed countries doesn’t mean the economy of a country is changed and these reports shouldn’t reward the government for progress but Pakistan’s ranking in top 10 countries is a good sign for country politics and economic elite.
The government of Pakistan added that they have been working towards the progress of the region and their strategies will enhance the business environment of the region and increasing both domestic and foreign investment.
