What I Think About This Product
A good makeup brush set is your loyal friend when you are a makeup devotee. When I first started doing makeup, I decided to purchase this set and I am very pleased to tell you that despite using them excessively, their quality has not dropped a bit. I have not experienced any shedding and splaying that might affect the bristle’s appearance. They dry quickly after every wash maybe because they are not too dense.
The brush case is very travel-friendly and has four brushes with synthetic bristles. They are very soft and mild on my skin and do not feel rough at all. In addition to that, their handles are light and sturdy and have excellent grip.
Buffing Brush
This was my first foundation brush and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. I use it to buff liquid foundation on my face and it leaves my skin giving natural look rather than the cakey ones. It can be used for liquid foundation, BB cream, and powdered foundation. It blends the foundation flawlessly. One thing is really really appreciating is that it does not absorb too much of the product because of its bristles which have little/quick contact with the foundation, and doesn’t cling onto it too much. For beginners, it’s a must-have!

Contour Brush
This is the most amazing brush for contouring. You won’t believe that its perfectly round and pointed shape gives the perfect contoured cheeks in just a few seconds. It blends the contouring powder/bronzer effortlessly through which you achieve the desired intensity of contorting/bronzing on your face.  I also use it for highlighting my face areas like cheeks, cupid bow, and forehead and it works just perfect. Another way in which it can be utilized is to put loose powder under your eyes before doing eye makeup.

Pointed Foundation Brush

This is not a very promising brush and I would say it did not meet my expectation. This brush is way too small to use with a liquid foundation. It can be used to contour cheeks when using a cream contour kit, not the powdery one. Another best way to utilize it is to use for applying under-eye concealer or to hide the other spots on your face. This way at least this brush would be in action rather than staying useless in your stash.

Detailer Brush
This is the tiniest brush in the set. It is easily detectable because of its orange color otherwise it would get lost among my brushes. This can be used as a lip brush, or to highlight the inner corners of your eyes because it is too time-consuming if you use it for under-eye concealing. But it is suitable for precise spot concealing.
Overall Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set is wonderful for beginners. The prices of these brushes are very reasonable to me I don’t think you can get quality even close to this for the price this set offers. I would definitely recommend this set!
