6 Humanitarian Golden Stars Of Pakistan

Pakistan has been blessed with many things, natural beauty, hospitable people and celebrities with golden hearts that give back to their nation. Here is a list of those celebrities that have given back to help our country and our fellow countrymen.

1. Abdul Sattar Edhi

Abdul Sattar Edhi is a philanthropist, humanitarian and social activist. The founder of the Edhi Foundation, which is the largest non-profit organization in Pakistan and the world’s largest emergency medical assistance service.

2. Imran Khan

A former cricketer, humanitarian and politician, Imran Khan, through his sheer relentless effort, has built a cancer hospital in Lahore (Shaukat Khanum) in loving memory of his mother. The hospital also provides assistance to those individuals who are unable to pay for cancer treatment.

3. Abrar-Ul-Haq

Sahara For Life Trust was created by Abrar ul Haq, a Pakistani singer with one goal in mind to serve the people who are un-served in Pakistan. It is a medical complex located in Narowal which provides medical care for those who are unable to pay for medical services anywhere else.

4. Shezad Roy

Shezad Roy a singer, humanitarian and social worker is determined to see that all children are educated in Pakistan. To see this dream come true, he began Zindagi Trust. A trust that works in various areas of education, the goal of the trust is to reform schools, by improving education policy and to ensure that the average Pakistani child also gets top quality education.

5. Anwar Masood

P&G began Mission Taleem with Anwar Masood a renowned Pakistani poet and teacher. The goal is to give chances to those who might not have gotten them without some help. To accomplish this Mission Taleem is awarding 100 educational scholarships, to under privileged Pakistani children. The motto ‘Parhay Ga Pakistan, Barhay Ga Pakistan’.

6. Jawad Ahmed

Pakistan’s ambassador to UNICEF for the eradication of Polio is Jawad Ahmed. A former singer and song writer. Not only is he an ambassador for UNICEF he is also working with US Aid to improve education throughout Pakistan and with ‘Taleem For All Program’, to fight against illiteracy in underdeveloped areas of Pakistan.

Truly outstanding men who have given back to their country to help those less fortunate than them.
