1. Oasis Golf and Aqua Resort
Top of the line water park and resort, this a must visit place especially if you have young kids. Their water rides are superb (including a large wave pool,) the crowd is pretty decent, and if you don’t want to go in the water, many other state of the art facilities are provided. The only downside – you need to go with someone who has membership of the club.
2. Green Fields Country Club
Just on the outskirts of Lahore, this scenic private country club provides a heavenly relaxation with many facilities including 5 star chalets for your friends and family to throw private parties.
3. Rana’s Luxury Resort & Safari Park
Located near Head Baloki, this huge park is the place to go if you’re an animal lover. They have several species of deer, wild peacocks, ostriches, and many other animals. The park provides a train ride, after which a dip in their cold water swimming pool is a must.
4. Kalar Kahar Lake
Easily accessible via Lahore-Islamabad motorway, this salt water lake provides an amusement park, a restaurant, and a motel. It’s not as scenic as Northern lakes of Pakistan but at this distance, it’s a decent place to visit. Salt Range, and Katas Raj temple is also in the same vicinity.
5. Swaik Lake
This beautiful aqua colored lake requires a 45 minute trek to reach, but once there, you don’t want to leave. The hike to this scenic location is worth it. The water is cold, so this is the place to visit in summers.
6. Ramkot Fort
Situated in Azad Kashmir on the banks of Mangla Dam, this fort is accessible via boat. Above all, it’s a historic, archaeological site that deserves special attention which it quite often is neglected of.
