Battlefield range ballistic missiles (BRBM)
1. Hatf-IX (Vengeance IX) or Nasr missile
Nasr is a solid fuelled tactical ballistic missile. The ISPR described the system as “Multi-tube Ballistic Missile” because the launch vehicle carries multiple missiles.
2. Hatf-1 or Vengeance/Deadly missile
The name Haft comes from Al-Hataf, the sword of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. After its successful tests, it was deployed as an artillery rocket.
Short range ballistic missiles (SRBM)
3. Ghaznavi or Hatf-III Ghaznavi missile
The Ghaznavi or official codename: Hatf-III Ghaznavi is a hypersonic and surface to surface short range ballistic missile with a range of 290km. The missile has a length of 9.64m, diameter of 0.99 m, launch weight of 5256 kg and is powered by a single stage solid fuel rocket motor.
4. Abdali-1 or Hatf-II Abdali
The Abdali-1 or official codename: Hatf-II Abdali is a supersonic and tactical surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile. he Abdali-I has a range of 180 km—200 km and an accuracy of 150m—180m CEP. It is equipped with an inertial guidance system with terminal guidance.
5. Ghauri or Hatf-V missile
The Ghauri-1 or official codename: Hatf-5 Ghauri is a land-based surface-to-surface medium-range ballistic missile. The missile system uses a single stage liquid fuel rocket motor to carry a payload of 700 kg to a range of 1,500 km. The missile is named after Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri.
6. Shaheen-1 or Hatf-IV
The Shaheen-1 or official codename: Hatf-IV is a land-based supersonic and short-to-intermediate range surface-to-surface guided ballistic missile. with an optimal range of 750 km and propelled by a two-stage solid-fuel rocket motor. The Shaheen I can deliver either a conventional or a nuclear payload much faster than liquid fueled missiles.
Medium range ballistic missiles (MRBM)
7. Ghauri-II or Hatf-VA missile
The Ghauri-II or official codename: Hatf VA Ghaur II is a medium range ballistic missile. The Ghauri-II missile has a maximum range of 2,000 km (1,200 mi). It is 18.0 m in length, has a diameter of 1.35 m and a launch weight of 17,800 kg. Its payload is a single separating warhead weighing 1,200 kg, or as low as 750 kg for use at its maximum range.
8. Shaheen-II or HATF-VI Shaheen missile
The Shaheen-II or official codename Hatf-IV Shaheen is a land-based supersonic surface-to-surface medium-rage guided ballistic missile. The missile is a two-stage rocket with diameter of 1.4 m, length of 17.5 m, weight of 25 tons and a range of 2,000 km.
9. Shaheen-III or White Falcon III missile
The Shaheen-III or official codename: White Falcon III is a land-based surface-to-surface medium range ballistic missile. Shaheen was successfully tested on 9 March 2015 with 2750 km (1700 mi) range– a range of up to 1700mi. The missile can reach to every enemy of Pakistan in the world.
Cruise Missiles
10. Babur or Hatf-VII missile
The Babur missile named after the first Mughal Emperor Zahir ud-Din Babur, also designated Hatf VII, is the first land attack cruise missile to be inducted by Pakistan. With a range of 700km, the missile is designed to avoid radar detection and penetrate enemy air defences.
Anti Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM)
11. Bakhtar-Shikan or Red-Arrow 8 missile
Pakistan produces the Bakhtar-Shikan missile system under licence at Khan Research Laboratories. It is able to defeat explosive reactive armor (ERA).
